It has been exciting for my husband Chuck and I, Tammy, to travel with and help chaperone many of Peggy's Travel Events group trips over the past eight years. Some of the fun places we have traveled include Ashville/Biltmore; Pigeon Forge, TN; Cape Code, MA; Charleston and Myrtle Beach, SC; New Orleans, LA; Nashville, TN; Williamsburg, VA and Washington, DC.
Peggy's Travel Events was founded by my wonderful mother, Peggy Toebes in 2010. She had a desire to be with new and old friends and to share fun and laughter while traveling to new places and favorite destinations together. For Mom, it was about enjoying the journey, as well as, the destination.
On January 28, 2016, Peggy lost her battle with cancer and went on her final, ultimate trip to be with Jesus.
Turns out, while we were busy sharing new experiences, making new friends and building happy memories; we were also being trained to take over the business when my mother retired (again) after five years of organizing group tours.
Chuck and I, Tammy, are excited about this opportunity to meet new people and travel together. Like Mom, we want to make it fun for you and us as we journey together, as well as when we reach our destination.
Mom's focus has been on providing group travel to Seniors, church adult travel clubs and adults. We think that retirees are a great mix of people and we understand that some of you may have special needs. Besides, Seniors have plenty of great life experiences to discuss and share as we travel together. So, we plan to continue to serve that market while exploring others.
We have been married for 34 years and have four children and four awesome grandchildren (yes, we are biased and we know it). We enjoy traveling this great country (and beyond) where there are so many beautiful sights, but what's most important to us is the people who travel with us. It's always our pleasure to serve our guests and make you feel welcome as part of our group, whether for a day or a week or more. Traveling can be fun, but traveling with people who care about your comfort and happiness is what makes Peggy's Travel Events special.
